Memphis, Brooklyn Deal Made Thursday, March 21st , 2002 It's being reported in the Memphis press that the Red Sox have traded 23-year old minor league 3B Candy Jim Taylor, 21-year old minor league RHP Nathan Eovaldi, and a 1st round draft pick to the Brooklyn Royal Giants for 22-year old CF John Briggs and a 3rd round draft pick. However, there is no confirmation by the two ball clubs. Briggs is hitting .286 lifetime with 157 hits, 29 doubles, 1 triple, 38 home runs, and 93 RBIs to date. He has scored 106 runs, walked 90 times and has a .385 OBP. |
