Hornsby 6-for-6 Against Sea Lions Friday, April 19th , 2002 Rogers Hornsby of the Black Yankees was unstoppable in his team's 16-6 victory over the San Francisco Sea Lions at Oracle Park. He battered them for 6 hits in 6 at-bats. "Boy, I was on the mark today," said the New York second baseman after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 6-for-6 won't hurt your batting average like 0-for-5 will." Rogers Hornsby hit a two-run home run off Eddie Plank in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Charlie Ferguson in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Dennis Eckersley in the 9th.
