Grant Out of Action, Listed DTD Sunday, April 28th , 2002 San Francisco's star second baseman Frank Grant injured himself in a game against the Chicago American Giants, prompting the team to list him as day-to-day. The doctors are reporting the injury as a strained oblique and they say the best medicine is a short period of rest. "Hopefully I don't get replaced by some hotshot wannabe," said Grant with a smile as he talked to reporters. This season, Grant is hitting at a .308 pace with 5 home runs, 17 RBIs and has scored 10 times. |
