AL Player of the Week Chosen Monday, April 29th , 2002 What's in a number? In baseball, just about everything. The numbers that Detroit's Al Kaline put up last week were the envy of the league, as Kaline came away with American League Player of the Week honors. He belted out 12 hits in 30 at-bats, 2 home runs and 10 RBIs last week as he posted his .400 batting average. For the year, Kaline has hit .326 with 7 home runs, 21 RBIs and scored 17 runs. |
