Johnson Wins NL Best Player Award Monday, April 29th , 2002 It was an extraordinary week for Grant Johnson of the New York Gothams. First he goes on a hot hitting streak, batting .400, then he is voted the Player of the Week in the National League. Last week Johnson went 10-for-25, racked up 4 home runs and 9 RBIs and scored 6 runs. It was a heck of a week for the New York second baseman. This year, Johnson has 6 home runs and a .372 batting average. |
