AAA's #1 Batter Chosen Sunday, July 1st , 2001 Hack Wilson has a lot going for him. The New Orleans center fielder just broke into the majors this year and now the WBL Triple A has just picked him as its top hitter for June. In 23 games last month this outstanding rookie batted .337 with 12 home runs, 23 RBIs and 20 runs scored. For the season, Wilson is batting .248 with 66 hits and 25 home runs. He has scored 44 times and batted in 55. |
