Blankenship Twirls 3-0 Shutout Thursday, April 12th , 2001 Ted Blankenship bent a little, but he didn't break against the Austin Black Senators. The Jersey City Skeeters pitcher hurled a 2-hit, 3-0 shutout in a fine performance, surrendering 3 walks and tallying 4 strikeouts. "Ted is good at getting out of jams," Skeeters manager Mike Wientjes told reporters after the game. "He's almost more effective when he gets guys on base or gets behind in the count, because he uses your aggressiveness against you." |
