Knowles Hanging Up Cleats In Favor of Golf Shoes

Darold Knowles has decided to quit baseball and pursue a career as a professional golfer. The Trojans reliever, who was a standout linksman in college, barely missed out on a Pro Golf tour exemption in Q-School last year. Now that his career has stalled in the minors and Knowles says he's ready for another career change. "Baseball will always be my first love, but I just don't see myself having the same amount of success as I would playing golf." Knowles will attempt to qualify for the National Tour next season in the hopes of obtaining a Pro Golf tour card.

Breaking AA News: Pre-Season Begins

Baseball-starved fans got some hope today as the WBL Double A publicly released the 2002 schedule. The preseason officially kicks off today and spring training and exhibition games will be taking place in the run-up to Opening Day. General managers will be tweaking their rosters right up until the first pitch of the regular season is thrown.
Please don't forget to set your scouting budget and player development budget during the pre-season!
