Belardi, Horton Receive 5-Game Suspensions Thursday, April 12th , 2001 At a recent Drillers-Isotopes contest at ONEOK Field, Wayne Belardi of Tulsa took exception to what Ricky Horton of Albuquerque said to him and tackled him. This led to an old-fashioned bench-clearing free-for-all between the two clubs. After the umpires restored order, they ejected both players. Today the league commissioner's office took action and suspended each player for 5 games, citing them for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct." |
