Renegades, Ford Stonewall Atlantic City, 4-0 Saturday, April 21st , 2001 Whitey Ford had an impressive outing at Doubleday Field, hurling the Hudson Valley Renegades to a 4-0 shutout victory over the Atlantic City Bacharach Giants. "He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," Atlantic City skipper Tim Stanley said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do. We hit some balls hard, but they were all right at the fielders." On the day, the left-handed Ford yielded 10 hits and tallied 7 strikeouts with 5 walks. |
