Winter Twirls 3-0 Shutout Thursday, April 26th , 2001 George Winter had an impressive outing at Astrodome, hurling the Austin Black Senators to a 3-0 shutout victory over the Montgomery Biscuits. "He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," Montgomery skipper Chris Koenigs said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do. We hit some balls hard, but they were all right at the fielders." On the day, the right-handed Winter yielded 5 hits and tallied 7 strikeouts with 1 walk. |
