Monday, May 21st , 2001 One of the league's most exciting young players, Billy L Williams of the Albuquerque Isotopes earned himself WBL Double A Player of the Week honors with a standout performance in last week's games. For the week the 22-year-old left fielder had a lofty .500 average (11-for-22), collecting 6 home runs, 10 RBIs and 8 runs scored. This season, Williams has posted a batting average of .333 with 15 hits in 45 at-bats, 6 home runs and 11 RBIs. He has also scored 8 runs, walked 4 times and compiled a .388 OBP. |
