That's exactly what Tracy Jones did at Parkview Field, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 13-7. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Jones said. "Good things happen, when that happens." The Albuquerque Isotopes left fielder blistered the Fort Wayne Daisies for 5 hits, batted in 7 runs and scored 5 times. "It ain't like we weren't trying," Fort Wayne manager Steve Cherry said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today." Tracy Jones doubled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Roger Craig in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Don Ferrarese in the 6th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Owens in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. In his season totals, Jones has 5 home runs, .417 BA, .475 OBP, 19 RBIs and 14 runs scored. He has played in 28 games. |
