Oklahoma City-Syracuse Fight Results in Suspensions
Thursday, May 31st , 2001
Tommy McCarthy of the Oklahoma City Redhawks and Earl Hamilton of the Syracuse Sky Chiefs will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 4 and 6 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Redhawks-Sky Chiefs game at Blues Stadium 1942.

Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN McCarthy and Hamilton will begin serving them soon.

For the year, McCarthy has hit .308 with 1 home run, 7 RBIs and scored 16 runs.

Thus far this season, Hamilton has tossed 52.1 innings in 8 starts, fanned 43 batters, walked 14 and put up a 2.75 ERA with 2 wins and 3 losses.
