Injury Brings Season to End for Poreda
Wednesday, June 6th , 2001
The season will end prematurely for Aaron Poreda, the Havana closer. He suffered bone chips in his elbow on 06/05/2001, an injury that is serious enough to knock him out of action for the rest of the year. Poreda was not available for comment.
In 2001 Poreda has totaled 17 relief appearances, worked 15.2 innings, struck out 15 and issued 12 walks. He has 10 saves and fashioned a 4.60 ERA and a 1-2 won-lost mark.
