Beckwith Stretches Hit String to 20 Thursday, June 14th , 2001 John Beckwith ran his hitting streak to 20 straight games at Isotopes Park, when he collected 1 hit in 4 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Sacramento Solons dropped the game, 6-5, to the Albuquerque Isotopes. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Beckwith said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." John Beckwith struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and grounded out in the 7th. Thus far this season, Beckwith has hit .306 with 2 home runs, 24 RBIs and scored 30 times. |
