Off-Field Accident Injures Mike Tiernan Saturday, June 16th , 2001 In a news release, the Troy Trojans announced that right fielder Mike Tiernan has a fractured eye socket. The injury will keep Tiernan out of action for about 10 months. The statement did not indicate how the mishap occurred. Tiernan is swinging at a .304 pace on the year with 5 home runs, 17 RBIs and 13 runs scored. He has played in 32 games. |
