Edmonton-Atlantic City Brawl, Graney and Gomes Suspended Sunday, June 17th , 2001 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Edmonton-Atlantic City contest at Edmonton Ballpark. The Trappers Jack Graney and the Bacharach Giants Wayne Gomes will have to sit out 4 and 2 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. This year, Graney has socked 9 hits in 53 at-bats for a .170 average with no home runs. He is getting on base at a .286 pace and his totals also include 3 RBIs and 4 runs scored. |
