June's Top Starter Named in AA Sunday, July 1st , 2001 June was a magical month for Gary Lucas of Syracuse. He held the WBL Double A hitters spellbound, conjuring up a 2-0 mark and a 0.40 ERA. Lucas also chalked up 2 starts, 22.1 innings and 20 strikeouts. For this outstanding performance he was rewarded with the Pitcher of the Month trophy. Up to now Lucas has recorded a record of 5-2. In 9 starts he has fanned 69 batters in 72.1 innings with a 2.49 ERA. |
