Montgomery Loses Sanchez for Season Sunday, July 15th , 2001 "Not what I wanted to hear," said Montgomery's Aaron Sanchez to reporters this afternoon, as he revealed that the injury he sustained on 07/14/2001 would force him to miss the rest of the season. "The doctor made it clear," Sanchez said. "There's no chance for me -- none at all -- to come back this year. That's the last thing I wanted to hear." Sanchez has been out of action since he suffered a damaged elbow ligament. So far in 18 appearances this season, Sanchez has recorded 2 wins and sustained 7 losses. He has pitched 54.2 innings, yielded 64 hits, fanned 44 and has a 5.76 ERA. |
