Jackson on Fire: 5-for-7 for Austin Wednesday, July 18th , 2001 Today at Parkview Field, the Fort Wayne Daisies topped the Austin Black Senators in spite of a standout batting performance by shortstop Travis Jackson. Jackson had a very impressive day at the plate, spanking Fort Wayne pitching for 5 base hits, but couldn't do enough for a win. Fort Wayne whipped Austin by the score of 9-8. Travis Jackson hit a two-run double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th, grounded out in the 11th and flied out in the 14th. |
