Beavers, George Stonewall Rochester, 8-0 Sunday, April 30th , 2000 Today was Lefty George's turn in the rotation for the Vancouver Beavers and he made the most of it, shutting out the Rochester Hustlers on 5 hits. The 24-year-old left-hander led the Beavers to an easy 8-0 victory, allowing 1 walk and tallying 4 strikeouts. "I hope we miss him next time," Rochester manager Cory Creech said. "George certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds."
