Hudson Valley Right Fielder Rice Will Retire Tuesday, July 24th , 2001 Sam Rice of the Hudson Valley Renegades announced his retirement from WBL Double A today. The 37-year-old veteran told reporters that he has enjoyed his time playing ball, but that it is time for someone else to have a shot. "It's a young man's game," Rice said, "and I'm not a young man anymore." |
