AA Best Hitter Award to Albuquerque's Cy Williams Wednesday, August 1st , 2001 Cy Williams has a lot going for him. The Albuquerque left fielder just broke into the majors this year and now the WBL Double A has just picked him as its top hitter for July. In 25 games last month this outstanding rookie batted .396 with 18 home runs, 38 RBIs and 25 runs scored. For the season, Williams is batting .301 with 106 hits and 42 home runs. He has scored 70 times and batted in 103. |
