Loane Goes 5-for-6 Against Charlotte Monday, July 10th , 2000 It was high-fives all around for Bob Loane at The Castle today. He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Charlotte Hornets. Loane smashed 5 hits in 6 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 12-8 win. "Bob was hitting everything," said Industriales manager Jason Coyne. "It really was a special game for him." In the opposing dugout, Hornets manager Justin Wise told BNN beat writers that Loane "ambushed" the club. "Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," the skipper said. "Hopefully, Loane oversleeps next time." Bob Loane flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Frank Brosseau in the 9th. So far this year Loane is batting .266 with 13 home runs, 34 RBIs and 26 runs scored. |
