Season Over for Estes Saturday, July 15th , 2000 In a news release, the Havana Industriales announced that starting pitcher Shawn Estes would miss the rest of the season due to a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. Estes sustained the injury on 07/13/2000. He "will be sorely missed," said his manager. Estes has gone 4-1 this season with an ERA of 2.37 and 32 strikeouts in 38 innings pitched. Other clubs are hitting .225 against him. |
