Injury Derails Season for Perez Saturday, July 15th , 2000 The Tulsa Drillers have lost the services of Rafael Perez for the rest of this season. He suffered a bone spur in his elbow in a recent ballgame and the follow-up report from the medical staff is not good. Perez is out for the year. Perez has 17 saves this year. In 34 relief appearances he has tossed 32.2 innings, fanned 44, and given up 8 walks with a 0-4 record. The Tulsa reliever has recorded a 5.79 ERA and allowed the opposition to hit .324 when he is on the mound. |
