Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl Friday, July 21st , 2000 Don Hoak of the Charlotte Hornets and Jack Easton of the Atlantic City Bacharach Giants will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 3 and 6 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Hornets-Bacharach Giants game at The Castle. Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Hoak and Easton will begin serving them soon. This year Hoak is hitting .279 with 2 home runs and 9 RBIs in 47 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .375 with 10 walks and 13 runs scored. |
