Cheney Sends Rochester Bats to Deep Freeze Tuesday, April 16th , 2002 Tom Cheney kept the Rochester Hustlers hitters from doing much damage at ONEOK Field. Rochester could only muster 3 hits and draw 3 walks against the right-handed Cheney, who controlled them throughout the game. Tulsa won the contest, 9-0. Cheney added 5 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Cheney told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time." |
