Daisies Listless in 9-0 Loss to Drillers Wednesday, April 24th , 2002 Carl Mays was in a mood to talk following the Tulsa Drillers contest against the Fort Wayne Daisies, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Daisies, 9-0. "There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Mays said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again." The right-hander blanked Fort Wayne on a 5-hitter, allowing no walks and racking up 1 strikeout. |
