Uggla Smashes 3 HR Thursday, June 29th , 2000 Dan Uggla was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 14-3 Bingo Long's Traveling All Stars triumph at Bingo's Temporary Park & Shelter today. The 32-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Traveling All Stars past the Galveston Black Pirates. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Uggla told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The second baseman went 3-for-5, rung up 5 RBIs and scored 3 runs on his record-setting day. Dan Uggla hit a solo-shot off Kurt Kepshire in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Kurt Kepshire in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Dan Miceli in the 6th and grounded out in the 7th. Uggla is currently batting .257 with 26 home runs and 38 RBIs. |
