Scott Booms 3 out of the Park
Friday, July 21st , 2000
Luke Scott went the distance three times in the Bozeman-Mineola tilt at Bozeman Ballpark today, but the Bucks lost, 14-8.
"Gosh, it's a shame we didn't win this game," Scott said later.
For the day, the Bozeman left fielder went 3-for-4 against Mineola with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting.
"I was in a groove and every pitch they tossed up there looked like a basketball," he said. "I tell you what, I was surprised because I didn't think the last ball had enough to get out. I thought it was just going to be a long out."
Luke Scott hit a solo-shot off Scott Scudder in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Scott Scudder in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Brandon Kintzler in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.
So far this season Scott has put up a .272 batting average with 61 hits, 25 home runs and 49 RBIs.
