4-Game Suspensions for Brouhard-Hesketh Fight Monday, July 31st , 2000 Mark Brouhard of Galveston and Joe Hesketh of Camagüey have been sanctioned by the league office for causing the ruckus at Gulfview Park yesterday. Both players have been given 4-game suspensions for instigating the fight and subsequent free-for-all. This season Brouhard is batting at a .308 clip with 29 home runs and 70 RBIs. Hesketh has taken the mound for 32 relief appearances this season, nailing down 2 saves while notching a 4-5 record with a 6.75 ERA. The Camagüey reliever has limited opposing batters to a .282 batting average. |
