Sunday, August 20th , 2000
In the world of baseball, Don McMahon of the Penn Yan Mustangs said he feels "over the hill."
So at age 40, the reliever has announced that he will call it a career at year's end.
"There's always someone younger coming up behind you and in my case there aren't really any people older, so it's time to get out," he said.
Up to now in his career, McMahon has compiled a 5-5 mark in 48 games with 81 strikeouts and 13 walks in 58.1 innings. He has been credited with 1 save and has a 8.02 ERA.
