Tracy and Roland Brawl, League Suspends Them
Wednesday, August 23rd , 2000
After an intense confrontation, both the Blackbirds Chad Tracy and the Pythians Jim Roland were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Erie-Philadelphia game. Chad Tracy will miss 3 games, while Jim Roland was suspended for 6 games.

"Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Chad Tracy commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play."

This season Tracy is batting .266 with 32 home runs. His totals include 65 RBIs and 53 runs scored.

This season Roland has crafted a 1-2 won-lost mark, pitched in 31 relief appearances and rung up 14 saves. He has a 3.51 ERA and has allowed 26 hits over his 33.1 innings of work, struck out 36 batters and walked 8.
