Belardi Picked Best Player Monday, August 28th , 2000 One of the league's most exciting young players, Wayne Belardi of the Bingo Long's Traveling All Stars earned himself WBL Rook American Player of the Week honors with a standout performance in last week's games. For the week the 23-year-old first baseman had a lofty .423 average (11-for-26), collecting 6 home runs, 8 RBIs and 7 runs scored.
