WBL Rook American's Best Batter Announced Monday, September 4th , 2000 Eric Tipton is respected by most Roanoke Magicians fans for his no-frills style of play. The 29-year-old right fielder went about his business with vigor last week to grab the WBL Rook American Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .476 average (10-for-21) with 3 home runs, 10 RBIs and 5 runs scored. Tipton is hitting .308 this season with 23 home runs, 71 RBIs and 82 runs scored. He has 115 hits in 373 at-bats. |
