D.C. Wins WBL Rook National INDY RN - Northeast Crown

The D.C. Potomacs are trying to accomplish something that's never been done before - hosting a World Series parade in the city of D.C..

They've taken the big first step, winning the WBL Rook National INDY RN - Northeast title.

"We want to win a championship, that's our ultimate goal and something our franchise deserves," said starting pitcher Jose Contreras. "Our coaches, GM and ownership have been behind us, it's time to make that effort pay off."

The club's record sits at 62-39 and it is the 1st time they've won the division title.

Team manager John Parzych said it will be the "accomplishment of a lifetime" if he can lead the team to a championship.

"It's what we've been working towards for so long," he said.
