Hanlon Hits 3 Homers Wednesday, September 6th , 2000 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Bozeman Ballpark buzzing, Erie Blackbirds right fielder Ned Hanlon blasted a trio of home runs en route to a 7-6 win over the Bozeman Bucks. "Everything was clicking," Hanlon told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Hanlon shined brilliantly in the win, with 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Blackbirds manager Justin Spiegel said. "Ned played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game." Ned Hanlon singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Mickey Mahler in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Mickey Mahler in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Mickey Mahler in the 7th and flied out in the 10th. Hanlon is hitting .285 this year with 32 home runs, 61 RBIs and 79 runs scored. He has 108 hits in 379 at-bats, 35 walks and a .352 on-base percentage. Hanlon has played in 97 games. |
