Fans seated in the bleacher section at Swampoodle Grounds were taking cover all day long as Bill D Wilson zeroed in on them, rattling three long blasts off the seats in a display of Herculean power.
The big game from the D.C. center fielder helped the Potomacs take the victory, 15-3, over the Bozeman Bucks.
"I told myself not to press on the last one," he told reporters in the postgame press conference. "I knew I couldn't force it -- it has to be a nice easy swing."
For the game, he collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 8 and scored 3 runs.
Bill D Wilson struck out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Joe Battin in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Joe Battin in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Henry Thielman in the 6th and was hit by a pitch in the 8th.
This year Wilson has socked 116 hits in 364 at-bats for a .319 average with 67 home runs. He is getting on base at a .374 pace and his totals also include 129 RBIs and 91 runs scored.
