Pine Bluff Wins WBL Rook American INDY RA - Midwest Crown Monday, September 11th , 2000 Fans of the Pine Bluff Judges are certainly optimistic regarding their team's chances to become World Series champions, after it became official that the club has won the WBL Rook American INDY RA - Midwest. "I think our fans think we're the best team in the league and you know what? Our guys think the same thing," said starting pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez. "We've got a real good chance to take this title." It would be the 1st championship for the club, which has won the WBL Rook American INDY RA - Midwest title for the 1st time. Manager Greg Ruffin said he has spent many years in pro ball, but there's "just something special" about his current group of players. "This team has got what it takes to be a champion," he said. |
