Bell Rips Boston for 5 Hits Sunday, April 8th , 2001 Cienfuegos defeated Boston at Estadio 5 de Septiembre. The star of the game for the Elefantes was center fielder Gus Bell. His hitting heroics included a 5-for-5 day, paving the way for Cienfuegos's 12-7 triumph over the Pilgrims. Gus Bell hit an RBI triple in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Al Spalding in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th and singled in the 7th. |
