Injury Derails Season for Stone

The news was not unexpected, but that didn't make it easier to accept for the Pine Bluff Judges: starting pitcher George Stone is out for the year. Stone suffered a torn rotator cuff on 04/28/2002. The team knew that the chances of seeing him return were slim to none. But today it was made official.
Jones Has Season End

Oscar Jones had to wait several agonizing days to find out his diagnosis after suffering a torn labrum on 04/27/2002. Today he received word from the Boston doctor that he would be out the rest of the year. Team officials called it a huge setback but something they would have to overcome.
