Boston Loses Montgomery for Season
Sunday, May 20th , 2001
Jordan Montgomery has to call it a season. The Boston Pilgrims starting pitcher learned today that the full extent his injury suffered on 05/18/2001 is worse than hoped. He will not play again this year according to club doctors, who diagnosed the injury as a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament and stated that he would not be able to play for 12 months.

The team will likely place Montgomery on the injured list today.

This year, Montgomery has compiled a 3-2 record with a 3.54 ERA in 7 starts.
