Bellinger Brings Home A Batter of Month Honor Friday, June 1st , 2001 For a rookie just breaking in, Cody Bellinger certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the A Batter of the Month award for May. The 20-year-old first baseman for the Bingo Long's Traveling All Stars hit .284 with 11 home runs, 27 RBIs and 17 runs scored. For the season, Bellinger is batting .284 with 27 hits and 11 home runs. He has scored 17 times and batted in 27. |
