Nippert Takes A #1 Pitcher Trophy Friday, June 1st , 2001 The Pitcher of the Month Award has been picked and the WBL A Ball victor is Armstrong's relief ace, Dustin Nippert. For his solid outings in May he has been named the league's premier pitcher. During the month, the Secret Nine star had 10 saves in 10 save opportunities, a 1.42 ERA and 1 win and 1 loss. In 12.2 innings Nippert struck out 6 and gave up 7 hits and 3 walks. For the year, Nippert has 14 saves in 18 relief appearances with a 2-1 mark and 0.98 ERA. |
