Secret Nine, Bond Buzz Yankees, 2-0

Tommy Bond had an impressive outing at McCoy Stadium, hurling the Armstrong's Secret Nine to a 2-0 shutout victory over the Staten Island Yankees.
"He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," Staten Island skipper Allan Urbanski said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do. We hit some balls hard, but they were all right at the fielders."
On the day, the right-handed Bond yielded 8 hits and tallied 6 strikeouts with no walks.
So far this season, Bond has compiled a 3-2 record with a 3.23 ERA.
