Staten Island's Walton A's Best Monday, June 11th , 2001 Danny Walton is respected by most Staten Island Yankees fans for his no-frills style of play. The 21-year-old left fielder went about his business with vigor last week to grab the WBL A Ball Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .429 average (9-for-21) with 3 home runs, 10 RBIs and 8 runs scored. Walton is currently hitting at a .271 pace with 13 home runs, 39 RBIs and has scored 35 times. |
