League Punishes Pair for Fighting
Wednesday, June 13th , 2001
Dick Bartell of the Moose Jaw Robin Hoods and Chris Short of the Albany Diamond Dogs will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 4 and 6 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Robin Hoods-Diamond Dogs game at Coca-Cola Field.

Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Bartell and Short will begin serving them soon.

Bartell is hitting .321 for the season with 2 home runs, 8 RBIs and 5 runs scored. He has 18 hits in 56 at-bats and played in 30 games.

So far this season, Short has 5 wins and 2 losses and a 3.74 ERA.
