Reynolds Tags Comets for 5 Hits Thursday, June 14th , 2001 5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Armstrong's's Tommie Reynolds made it happen against the Comets. Everything came together at the plate for the 23-year-old left fielder as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats -- and helped the Secret Nine triumph, 8-5, at Simmons Field. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Reynolds said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Tommie Reynolds singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. This season, Reynolds has hit at a .265 clip and produced 12 RBI, 1 home run and 13 runs. |
